We are pleased to announce that Sentara Healthcare has awarded Senior Services a $100,000 Sentara Cares grant for our Healthy Hotel Meals pilot program. The pilot program is a partnership with the Norfolk Community Services Board’s Healthy Hotels Project, which provides members of Norfolk’s homeless community with food, shelter, and medical care courtesy of Sentara Medical Group. The funds will be used to provide 500 meals a week to support the health and well-being of our clients at the shelter. These fresh, nutritionally-balanced meals are prepared by our vendor, Beth Sholom Village, and delivered by Senior Services’ wonderful volunteers.

We are truly grateful for the continued partnership of Sentara Healthcare and its commitment to supporting Senior Services’ mission. Together, we are keeping older adults healthy, active, and engaged!
