Take Action: Medicare Needs Your Help!
Funding for the Medicare Improvements for Patients and Providers Act (MIPPA) has been removed from the Federal Budget.
This means, $50 million has been taken away from Medicare State Health Insurance Companies, Area Agencies on Aging, like Seniors Services of Southeastern Virginia, and Aging and Disability Resource Centers, all across the country.
This funding is crucial for older adults with low-income and provides education, one-on-one assistance, outreach and more for Medicare Part D and Medicare Savings Programs.
Funding like this is helps Senior Services provide FREE, non-biased benefits counseling to thousands of seniors each year. Help us by reaching out to your legislature and urge to expand and make this funding permanent in upcoming and future budgets!
