Agency earns Virginia Values Veterans certification
Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia has earned Virginia Values Veterans (V3) certification. V3 is a free training and certification program for employers to help them implement nationally recognized best practices in recruiting, hiring, and retaining highly skilled and dependable veterans.

Senior Services’ Medicare benefits counselors will hold information and assistance events throughout Western Tidewater in March 2018 to assist Medicare-eligible individuals navigating Medicare and Medicare Part D. Assistance will also be available for those who are currently enrolled and may be eligible for the Part D Low-Income Subsidy “Extra Help” benefit. Reservations are highly recommended.
Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia joins Meals on Wheels programs across the country in the 16th Annual March for Meals celebration.
Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia announced today that it will be participating in the 16th annual March for Meals – a month-long, community-by-community celebration of Meal on Wheels and the vulnerable seniors who rely on the vital service to remain independent at home. Senior Service’s celebration will include various activities throughout the month of March, including at senior center nutrition sites and community involvement activities.

Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia has awarded Vivian Henderson, Esq., its President’s Awards for Volunteerism. The award was presented by Board of Directors President Cathy Dalton during the agency’s annual meeting on Jan. 25 at the Town Point Club in Norfolk, Virginia.
