(July 18, 2017) – Continuing with the theme of last May’s Older Americans Month, Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia (SSSEVA) is challenging South Hampton Roads’ seniors to “Age Out Loud.” The 2017 Art of Healthy Aging Forum & ExpoSM, scheduled for Nov. 1 from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Virginia Beach Convention Center, 1000 19th St., Virginia Beach, Virginia, is being planned to equip the boomer generation and beyond with many of the tools and resources they will need to achieve their best for the rest of their lives.
SOUTH HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (July 12, 2017) – Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services teams up with Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services to provide $40 worth of free checks to help income eligible senior citizens buy fresh and nutritious produce, as well as support local farmers and farmers markets. Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia (SSSEVA) will be registering seniors for the 2017 Farmers’ Market Fresh Nutrition Program beginning July 13 through July 28.
