Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia Hosts Public Hearings May 31
The public hearings, scheduled 2-3:30 p.m., are intended to engage community residents 60+ and also caretakers and institutions that work with seniors and persons with disabilities.

SOUTH HAMPTON ROADS, Va. (May 17, 2017) – Southeastern Virginia Areawide Model Program, Inc. t/a Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia (SSSEVA) hosts its annual public hearings on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 5 Interstate Corporate Center, 6350 Center Drive, Building 5, Suite 101, Room 115, Norfolk. The public hearings, scheduled 2-3:30 p.m., are intended to engage community residents 60+ and also caretakers and institutions that work with seniors and persons with disabilities. These hearings provide SSSEVA with valuable insight that helps outline programs and services to better address the needs of seniors in the region. Results from the hearings are used in preparing the agency’s Fiscal Year 2018 Area Plan for Aging Services. The fiscal year runs from Oct. 1, 2017 to Sept. 30, 2018.

SSSEVA invites area residents who cannot attend to complete an online survey at www.ssseva.org. The deadline for written comments is Thursday, June 15, 2017. Email responses to services@ssseva.org or mail to Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia, 6350 Center Drive, Suite 101 Norfolk, VA 23502. All responses are confidential.
