Each year, Senior Services of Southeastern Virginia provides shelf-stable meals to seniors at our senior centers and to those who receive Meals on Wheels in our service area and are at risk during emergency situations. These Emergency Preparedness meals are for the seniors to put in their pantry in case their regularly delivered meals are missed due to emergency weather like hurricanes or winter storms.
This year, we partnered with a group of sailors stationed on the USS George H.W. Bush to deliver some meals during the ship's community service day on June 18, in honor of Pres. George H. W. Bush's birthday.
We still have several deliveries that we need your help to make! Learn how you can still help this month.
