DESCRIPTION:Family caregivers of older adults are unpaid and often underappreciated. Senior Services empowers caregivers through encouragement\, education\, and opportunities for respite. Learn about the importance of self-care\, have your questions answered by a panel of experts\, and enjoy fun activities and surprises! \nSenior Services of Southeastern Virginia is hosting a day of respite at Norfolk Botanical Gardens for caregivers of older adults. Learn about the importance of self-care and enjoy fun activities! We invite you to bring the loved one you care for\, as we will have a separate space for them to relax\, while you enjoy your time. \nIf you are unable to make the event\, please give us a call 48 hours in advanced\, so that we can move up another Caregiver on the waitlist. We want to provide every opportunity of respite for every caregiver we can. Due to multiple no-shows at our previous events\, we were unable to accommodate those who could attend. \nTransportation will be provided from Franklin and Suffolk. \nPlease note: This event is dedicated to family caregivers who are taking care of their elderly parents\, spouse\, or friend. \nREGISTERATION CLOSED – EVENT BOOKED \n
