  • Jobs For Seniors
We call this program Senior Skills Corp, and it is a job placement program developed especially for seniors aged 50 and older. Once you complete a registration form, we can match you with appropriate job openings as they become available.

Fee: There is a yearly fee of $15.

  • Senior Community Service and Employment
If you have an interest in rejoining the workforce, we can provide you with paid, on-the-job training in an area that interests you, while learning new skills. Also known as Title V, the Senior Community Service and Employment Program is a work-training program for low-income people age 55 and older.

Our Career Counselors will assess your skills and past work history, then help you find a job. In the past, we’ve placed seniors in such positions as office assistant, companion, data entry, bookkeeping, driver, security, food services and sales. You must work a minimum of 20 hours each week in subsidized employment.

We can also help you with resume writing, interviewing techniques, job search and pre-arranged interviews. Although there are certain financial qualifications, each individual’s situation is considered different.

No fee: This is a free service.

To learn more, call our Employment Department at 757-461-9481.
