Senior Services can help you apply for many benefits for which you may be eligible. For more information, click on any of the topics below, then call us at 757-461-9481 and ask to speak with one of our Intake Specialists.

  • Medicare
    Figuring out the complexities of Medicare can be a challenge. Senior Services can assist in a number of ways. For instance, we can help you find the best prescription drug discounts available, identify Medicare fraud and assist you in filing Medicare claims.   • Medicaid
    If you are a senior who qualifies for Medicaid, we can screen and provide application assistance for you. Norfolk seniors can apply directly through The Center for Aging, Senior Services’ partnership with the Norfolk Department of Human Services.   • Food Stamps
    If you are a senior who qualifies for Food Stamps, we can screen and provide application assistance for you. Norfolk seniors can apply directly through the Center For Aging, Senior Services’ partnership with the Norfolk Department of Human Services.   • Veterans

  • Prescription Drug Assistance
    If you know of someone who needs help paying for their medicines, Senior Services can help. Our education staff will assist you in finding the best discount drug programs available, whether you wish to enroll for Medicare Part D prescription drug benefits or want to learn more about The Pharmacy Connection that helps qualified individuals receive free medicines from participating pharmaceutical companies.

    We will screen you for all options when you call. In some cases, beneficiaries can use a combination of programs. Call or stop by our Norfolk headquarters Monday through Friday; from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome.
