South Hampton Roads achieved a milestone when
Senior Services and the Norfolk Department of
Human Services (NDHS) joined in 2003 to form
The Center for Aging – the first “one-stop”
resource and referral agency of its kind for
seniors in Virginia.
Now, seniors in need of services such as
adult day care or home-delivered meals,
available through Senior Services, may find
that they also qualify for benefits
administered through
NDHS, such as Food
Stamps and Medicaid.
